My favorite Juicy Lucy's in Minnesota! I've been to 5-8 grill a few times and am never disappointed. The service is always great. They are very friendly and quick. It is a homey bar and grill. Tons of pictures on the wall and smaller space, but I'd say it's pretty cozy. There's also plenty of spaces to park, which is always a plus! Overall would recommend stopping by!

Went with some friends after their son's hockey game. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and honestly one of the best I've had. My husband had a Juicy Lucy which he also raved about. Both food and service was terrific!

This restaurant was surprisingly very tasty. I ordered the Patty Melt burger with fries and I was blown away. The bread was so toasted and the patty was so juicy. The fries had a nice crunch to them and even though I added ketchup, they really needed no condiments. I give my meal here a 10/10 especially with them being military friendly as the server paid my bill!

The service is always great and the food is delicious! Love their fries! I had the Jalapeño Popper burger, yum!

Went to the Champlin 5-8 location. We've had the juicy Lucy and the chicken dinner. Everything was good and the service was excellent. Seems to always be busy which to me is a good sign.

The perfect joint to go to when I need a greasy, feel-good meal and a beer. Knowing there is a battle between Matt's & 5-8... I VOTE 5-8 every time. The service is always quick and polite. The marshmallow dip for the sweet potato fries is a MUST. All the juicy lucy's are great options - you can't go wrong with whichever one you choose The onion straws are just the right amount of salty. They're thin, crispy, crunchy, and tasty! Rightfully obsessed with this place.

Love the 5-8 and have never had a bad experience. We don't get the chance to visit often but stopped in recently for a mid week lunch with the family. It was seat yourself and we opted for the restaurant side vs the bar side but both are great and just depend on the vibe you're looking for. Our waitress greeted us quickly and took our drink order. We then ordered our apps and lunches and she made sure we knew about the daily deal (two American juicy Lucy's and a fry for $20 which is pretty good!) We got beer cheese pretzel which was 3.5/5. Sauce was good but pretzels were really buttery. American juicy Lucy, pepper Jack juicy Lucy, California burger and the Frisco melt juicy lucy. All the burgers were solid 4-5/5. We opted to try regular fries, Jo Jo's and sweet potato fries. My favorite were the sweet potato fries as they came with a marshmallow blue cheese sauce. That was the perfect match for the fries. Overall, the servings are pretty large, so we went home with a good amount of fries and a few half burgers . Service was great and parking is plentiful at the Champlin location. Definitely a good stop when your in the mood for the famous juicy Lucy!

5-8 is a solid, no frills restaurant where you can get a really, really good burger. They've got a nice patio and plenty of dining space inside. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. I can really only rate my experience off one burger - the Saucy Sally. That is 100% what I'm going to get when I go to 5-8 and I can't see myself deviating from that any time soon. It's an excellent way to experience a Jucy Lucy, and the sauce is phenomenal. I wish they had a little more variety in terms of cocktails and beer, but overall the food makes up for it.

I stopped in for a burger and a few beers on Halloween night and was blown away! While I have visited the original, "world famous", Minneapolis location a time or two, this was my first visit to the Champlin location. The restaurant it fairly large. When you walk in the dining area and bar are split upon entry. This is a concept a rather enjoy. Keeping the bar separate makes the dining area quieter and more family friendly.... And the bar area feeling more like a bar. I went against the grain and ordered a burger off the "classic" menu rather then a Juicy Lucy that 5-8 is known for. This was the right move and I highly suggest trying one for yourself. I went with the Garlic Cheese Burger or "GCB". A 1/3 pound patty with cheese on a toasted garlic French roll. This burger was AMAZING. This location offers a full bar and the tap beer list is mediocre, featuring your typical mainstream distributor beers.... A few domestics, Summit EPA and Surly as their local crafts, as well as a few national favorites. The service was excellent. The gal behind the bar was prompt to greet me and took my drink order quickly. Very friendly. Overall the atmosphere at this bar is pretty laid back and makes for a great spot to have a burger and watch the game.
